A List Of Interesting Opinion Essay Topics For Third Grade
Okay, so maybe you are a teacher that needs to come up with a list of interesting essay topics for third graders. These kids, are what eight or nine years old. How can you possibly come up with something that will not only keep them engaged but help them showcase their true potential? The answer is that it is easier than you might think. Kids that ages are like little sponges that are ready and waiting to soak up information. The trick is spinning it to them in such a way as to make them want to go away and write their first, all-important essay.

- Should parents be able to use physical punishments such as spanking to discipline their children?
- American citizens have the right to bear arms. Should third graders be legally allowed to bear arms provided that they have been suitably trained and are under adult supervision?
- Should school kids get the right to choose where to spend their family vacation?
- How many pets is too many? Could the government put in place any additional measures to protect the rights of animals?
- Choosing the next president of the United States of America is a big task. Should politicians and presidential candidates reach out to children a lot earlier? Is there an argument to suggest that by engaging children as young as ten, politicians could have a vote in the bag for life?
- Are beach vacations better than vacations to the countryside?
- Is there ever a thing as too much pizza?
- Should kids from inner cities get to do exchange visits with kids from the country as a mandatory part of their learning?
- Should school lunches be free?
- How do you choose between two best friends? Do you choose? Or do you find a way of all being friends together?
- How much t.v. time is too much t.v. time?
- Should news programs be streamed to children while they are eating their school lunches in order to bring them up to speed on world affairs?
- Does the Loch Ness Monster really exist?
- Are there such a thing as conspiracy theories? If so, discuss some.
- Should kids be allowed to wear sneakers to class?
- Should moms and dads be made to take parenting classes?
